Church Group Workshop - Turkish Mosaic Lamp Making | DIYLabs Ontario
DIYLabs welcomes church groups and faith communities to our Turkish mosaic lamp workshop - a peaceful, creative, and culturally enriching experience that brings congregation members together in a spirit of shared making. Whether you are planning a church social, a fundraising event, a youth group activity, or a seasonal celebration, our workshop offers a meaningful and memorable way to gather.
A Creative Activity Rooted in Craft and Culture
The art of Turkish mosaic lamp making has deep roots in the cultural and spiritual traditions of the Eastern Mediterranean. For centuries, these glowing lamps have illuminated places of worship, homes, and community spaces across Turkey and the broader region. At DIYLabs, we share this heritage in an accessible, welcoming way - inviting participants of all backgrounds to connect with a centuries-old craft tradition through their own hands.
The process of mosaic making - patient, focused, and deeply satisfying - resonates naturally with values of mindfulness, creativity, and community that many faith traditions hold dear.
